I am a senior postdoctoral fellow in the Number Theory group at the University of Bristol.  I completed my PhD in 2022 at the University of Glasgow, under the supervision of Alex Bartel.

My main research interests are in algebraic number theory, arithmetic statistics, and Diophantine geometry.  I enjoy using computational mathematics to aide my work, see @ramifiedprime on github for code presently shared.

From 13th-24th April 2026, Happy Uppal and I are hosting Peter Koymans at the University of Bristol via a Heilbronn International Visitors Scheme grant.  During this visit, Peter will give a lecture series on the groundbreaking techniques of Alexander Smith.  If you are non-Bristol-based and wish to attend, please contact us directly before making plans.
